The Humble Beginnings
My name is Matt Finney and I grew up in a mid-sized town that was surrounded by cornfields. I played drums in a rock band and had the dream of becoming a rock star. I decided that the band needed a web site in order for this to happen (Flash websites were all the rage then). I embarked on the task of learning ActionScript 2.0, and HTML and made my first website.
It was at that moment I knew that if I didn't become a rock star, I would be a rock star web designer and developer.
Here and Now
I live in Chicago, IL and my focus is on front-end design and development. Everyday is exciting as it offers new challenges, techniques and an opportunity to always keep on top of the industry.
My skill set includes: standards compliant XHTML and CSS, JavaScript, and JavaScript libraries (jQuery), WordPress, some PHP, ActionScript 3.0, Audio Production, and some video editing.
